Kidnap kinpin in anambra arrested !!

ANAMBRA State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Bala Nasarawa must be having a relaxed mind, at least for now, as he has in his cell, the most wanted suspected kidnapping and armed robbery kingpin in Anambra State, 36 year -old Mr. Olisagbo Ifedike. For the few months he had been in charge of the state police command, Nasarawa had had his usual fair share of the proverbial Baptisimal fire from the men of the underworld in the state.
Over the years, the CPs that had been posted to the state had the same kind of Baptism as the hoodlums would create so much tension in the state once the new man takes charge. Such actions went a long way to reminding the new CP of what to encounter in the state.

When the present CP arrived, he saw in the files, pending cases of kidnapped traditional ruler of Adazi Nnukwu, that of the traditional ruler of Ihembosi, the attack on two police stations at Amichi and Ukpor, both in Nnewi South local government area, among others.

LASG To Extend BRT Lane To Ikorodu

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority, Dr. Dayo Mobereola, says the state government is set to extend the existing Bus Rapid Transit lane from Mile 12 to Ikorodu.
He said the project, which would span two years, had already been awarded.
Mobereola said this at a stakeholders’ forum in Ikorodu, Lagos on Thursday.
He said the forum was to discuss the imminence of the extension  of the lane as well as to seek community’s cooperation in the course of the project.

Nigeria's First Lady, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, has been in a hospital in Germany in the last four days, Abuja State House sources have told SaharaReporters, undergoing treatment for food poisoning.

The sources say Mrs. Jonathan, who is also a Permanent Secretary in the Bayelsa State civil service, was airlifted to the hospital by an air ambulance in midweek under emergency medical conditions.
